Singer and songwriter Lordkez has announced a remix version of her hit song “Aweh”, this time with rapper Cassper Nyovest.
The 21-year-old Kimberley-born artist took to social media to announce the release date of the highly anticipated song with a caption that reads:
“Aweh [Remix] (feat. Cassper Nyovest) is yours on the 29th August. Thank you so much, big dawg @casspernyovest 🙏🏽❤️. We got one for the summer! ☀️, and thank you for all the love always. I’m ever grateful.”
The original track came out in March as the lead single from her 90s-inspired EP “You, Me, and the 90s”, which truly takes the listeners on a nostalgic trip.
In an interview with “IOL”, Lordkez said the song was meant to give the feeling of a first date. She explained that “Aweh” means “hello” or “what’s up” and that the sound was made to instantly take listeners back in time.
