South Africa's National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola says he doesn't understand why he should be charged with alleged criminal kingpin Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala.
Masemola appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court today and his case was ...postponed to the 13th of next month. On the same day 15 co-accused including Matlala will also appear. Masemola is facing charges related to violating the Public Finance Management Act.

Scientists at the University of Witwatersrand have designed South Africa's first app to warn residents of pollution levels. This as Johannesburg suffers a spike in coal emissions in recent weeks.
Some residents have linked their health issues including breathing ...problems to the pollution. The app known as the South African Consortium of Air Quality Monitoring will be launched later this year.
[ON AIR] Mmatsheko Mosito speaks to Amy Tekie, co-founder of Izwi Domestic Workers Alliance, on the harsh realities facing domestic workers.
Many are working up to 14-hour days, separated from their families, and earning below minimum wage.
