Senegal's former president, Macky Sall, is among four candidates being interviewed today for the United Nations' top position. He is the only African contender seeking to succeed Secretary-General António Guterres, whose term ends later this year.
The UN is ...conducting formal interviews, known as interactive dialogues, as part of the selection process. Other candidates include Costa Rican diplomat Rebeca Grynspan, Argentinian nuclear agency chief Rafael Grossi, and Chilean diplomat Michelle Bachelet.
