TWO SA TEAMS OFF TO BOTSWANA TO SEEK WORLD RELAYS QUALIFICATION
A squad of eight athletes landed in Gaborone earlier on Friday in search for a World Relays Championships qualifier in two events.
Chasing a slot in the 4x100m and Mixed Relays, a strong contingent of athletes will ...contest the Lefika International Relays taking place on Saturday 28 March in the capital.
For South Africa, this is a race against time as the window of opportunity nears closure. Teams must qualify before the 5 April 2026 deadline. Amongst the teams also participating are hosts Botswana, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

The SunBet Arena in Pretoria was transformed into a high-octane fusion of sport, style, and star power on Friday, March 27 as the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Kalahari Conference officially tipped off. While the action on the court was fierce, the energy in the stands and courtside headlined by ...new league outfitter proved that the BAL is as much a lifestyle movement as it is a sports league.
